There are a number of delicious tropical nuts. Best known are cashew, Brazil nut and macadamia, but lesser-known species such as the Guiana chestnut, pili nut and kenari are prized in some areas. While most of these are grown in gardens or plantations, Brazil nuts are nearly all collected from wild trees in the rain forests of Brazil and Bolivia.
